Peter has always loved computers, and he has always been a very technical person. Growing up Peter always spend his free time creating Websites, Digital Art pieces in Photoshop, also Video Editing short films, and creating Flash animations. After graduating from High School, Peter thought very hard about what he wanted to do with his life and decided on taking on the challenge of being a Graphics Designer, and do what he loves for a living. Peter finally enrolled in BCIT’s New Media Program of October of 07, which has helped him expand his creative thinking and become more fluent with all kinds of computer programs and programming languages.
This past year has been the most fulfill learning experience in his life so far. Once Peter has completed this program, He plans on striving to explore all aspects of design including Print, Web Development, Motion Graphics, Video Production and Audio. His goal coming out of this program is to experiment with a new type of web development technique, which involves many different elements but the 2 primary ones are Flash and After Effects. Using After Effects to build websites has been done before, but Peter is experimenting with new techniques which tend to make sites look very stunning and have endless possibilities of how they can function and what they can look like.
Peter’s goal in life is to always keep learning, as everyday there something new. Being on top in this industry is crucial or you can get outdated without realizing it. .
